Friends,

My apologies for the lateness of this message. Tracy has asked me to deliver this news to Cy's friends.

Our boy Cy has taken what may be a final turn for the worse. The cancer is just working faster than Cy's body can fight it. A decision has been made to take Cy off of the respirator first thing tomorrow morning. He may be able to breath without it or he may not.

Cy's parents will be seeing visitors in the lobby of the fourth floor at Duke Hospital in Durham tomorrow (where Cy was the first time). I do not know how long they will be there, but I know they are uplifted by our company. Frank Rawls said that our displays of love for his son have kept them going for these last few months.

I will deliver another update when I have one.

If anyone can do the impossible, it 's Cy. Afterall, he's done it his whole life.
